I have some news to share today….
1.
I have added two pages to my website. They can be accessed on a desktop computer by left mouse clicking on the page names at the top of the web page, highlighted here with a yellow rectangle. On the phone, one can access the new pages by selecting the 3 “more” bars at the top of the web page and then selecting the desired page from the dropdown.

Blog Post Listings will allow readers to review all the blog post that I have written in a collection and find specific posts more readily when looking, or just to get an overview.
The Gallery is a new page of gallery images that I will add to as new work is created. It will build from oldest to newest as I add more images.

A while ago I changed commenting on this blog post from easy to hard, due to all the spam that I see in the background. It is typically caught and put in a folder, but I still need to look to see if there is anything of value in it. Once I set the system to require readers to register and login no one commented at all, so I have decided to go back to the easy method, and just continue to deal with the spam as before. Maybe I will start to get comments again from those of you who have in the past, and maybe from new readers who might like to comment. Commenting will still require a name and email address, and it will still be moderated before it gets posted, but it is the easier method.

In the last week or so, I decided to give drawing digitally another go. Someone on an artist forum I participate in mentioned a software that they use for drawing and painting. It is called Rebelle 7. It looked very interesting and so I downloaded a trial and found that I liked it a lot. Within a few minutes, I ordered a user license. It worked well with the old Bamboo tablet I had purchased years ago but decided to update my setup with a new tablet, which arrived today. It works very well.
Here are my latest results, first the new pencil sketch in my typical style, one I will likely continue with, and then with the watercolor. I know I have lots to learn, and I could have spent even more time with this one, but it is good enough for this first image. If you like it, I don’t mind hearing that, but please no criticisms at this time.

The one below is my watercolor. It has a yellowish underlay to try and give it, something, I don’t know what. Perhaps to make it looked aged a bit, like a vignette of sorts.

This one is the original watercolor without the yellowish underlay. I am not sure which one I like best, so I thought I would post both.

Best regards,

Hi Don
I have been using “Antispam Bee” plugin on my WordPress website for managing spam comments. It seems to do a good job, so far. There are obviously many other antispam plugins. Just a thought.
Thanks for the antispam lead, Suhail. I’ll check it out. Currently I am using Akismet Anti-spam, and although it seems to catch it all, it still ends up in my spam folder which always catches my eye as something to deal with, if only to delete. It has an option to check which says it should catch most and just delete it without it ever arriving, but it doesn’t seem to work.
I see that Antispam Bee is an available plugin, so I will check out the details.
Thanks for visiting my blog and taking time to make a comment.
Akismet Anti-spam is also very good. I think some spam will always find its way past almost all anti-spam filters.
